Questions
Which side should I offer next?
The app looks at the last breast feed. If the baby fed on both sides, it suggests the side the baby finished on, because that breast was emptied less. If the baby fed on one side only, it suggests the other side. It is a reminder, not a rule: follow your midwife's advice.
Is "Last feed" counted from the start or the end?
From the start of the feed. Midwives and doctors usually count feeds that way, for example "every 2 to 3 hours" means from the start of one feed to the start of the next.
I forgot to stop the timer.
Tap Stop and save feed, then tap Edit on the feed in the day's list and type the real minutes for each side. The app also warns you when a timer has been running for a long time.
I forgot to log a feed or nappy.
Tap + Add an earlier feed, nappy or sleep, choose what happened and set the time.
How are the day's totals counted?
A feed or nappy counts on the day it started, by this phone's clock. Sleep is split at midnight, so a night's sleep counts partly on each day. Last 24 hours counts back 24 hours from now, which is what a doctor or health visitor often asks.
Can I use it for twins?
Yes. Tap + Add another baby (twins). Each baby gets its own log, timers and totals, and you switch with the names at the top. Both can feed at the same time.
Is it private? Will it work at night with no signal?
Everything stays in this browser on this device: no account, nothing uploaded. Once it has loaded, it works offline. Use Save a backup file now and then, or before changing phones.
Is this medical advice?
No. It is a log to help you remember and to show your midwife, health visitor or doctor. If you are worried about your baby's feeding, nappies or sleep, contact them.
