Questions
How do I get a reminder on my phone?
Tap Calendar on a person, or Add all to my calendar. The app saves a calendar file. Open it and your phone's or computer's calendar adds a yearly all-day event with a reminder at 9:00 on the day and, if you choose under Calendar reminder, some days before. Add it once and it repeats every year.
I don't know the year. Is that OK?
Yes. Leave Year empty. You still see the date and the days left; only the age or the years together are not shown.
What about 29 February birthdays?
In leap years the day is 29 February. For other years choose, for each person, whether it is kept on 28 February or on 1 March. The list and the calendar file both follow that choice.
Can I bring in birthdays from my phone?
Most phones can export contacts as a .vcf file (in Contacts, choose Export or Share). Tap Import a contacts file (.vcf): everyone with a birthday or anniversary saved is shown first, and you add them with one tap. You can also paste a list such as "Sara 24/10/1995", one person per line.
I forgot a birthday. Can I still see it?
Yes. Anything in the last 7 days stays at the top under "Just passed", so you can still send a late wish. Tap Mark as wished to tick it off.
Is it private? Does it work offline?
Your list stays in this browser on this device: no account, and your data is never sent anywhere. Use Save a backup file to move it to a new phone. Once loaded, the app works with no connection.
