Questions
How do I get a good scan?
Put the page flat on a darker table or floor, in daylight or under a bright lamp, and hold the phone straight above it. The app finds the page by itself when it is lighter than what it lies on. If it misses, tap Edit and drag the 4 circles onto the corners.
Which look should I pick?
Clean colour makes the paper white and keeps stamps, signatures and photos in colour. Black and white gives the sharpest text and the smallest file, best for typed letters and forms. Grey is in between. Photo as is changes nothing, for photos and pictures.
How do I get under a size limit, like 2 MB?
Choose it under Must be under before you tap Make the PDF. The app lowers the picture quality and then the size step by step until the whole PDF fits, and says how much it had to shrink. If it cannot fit and stay readable, it says so: remove a page, pick Black and white, or make two PDFs.
What about an ID card, front and back?
Take a photo of each side as its own page, and pick Photo as is for a side with a photo on it so the photo is not lightened. With A4 or US Letter each side fills the width of its own page. Pick Same shape as each page to keep the card shape instead.
Are my documents private?
Yes. Nothing is uploaded: the pages are worked on and turned into a PDF on your device. They are kept in this browser so a reload does not lose them, until you tap Start over. The app works offline once it has loaded.
