Questions
What does “left to spend” mean?
It is all your category budgets added together, minus everything you have spent this month in any category (refunds taken off). The line under it says how much that is per day for the days left, today included, rounded down so you never go over.
When does a category turn yellow or red?
Yellow means nearly used: 80% or more of its budget is spent. Red means it is over its budget, and the app says by how much. You also get a message as soon as an expense takes a category past 80% or over.
What happens at the end of the month?
Nothing to do. A new month starts with the same budgets and nothing spent. Use the arrows next to the month to look back at earlier months; all your expenses stay.
My salary comes on the 25th. Can my month start then?
Yes. Set My month starts on day to 25. Each budget month then runs from the 25th to the 24th of the next month, and the days left count to your next payday.
One receipt had food and household things. How do I split it?
Type the total, tap + Split across categories, and give each part a category and an amount. Leave one part empty and it gets whatever is left. The app checks the parts add up to the total.
How do I record a refund?
Choose Money back (refund) above the amount. It is taken off what you spent in that category this month and shows in green.
Is it private?
Yes. No account and no bank connection: you type what you spend. It is saved only in this browser on this device and works offline. Use Save a backup file to keep a copy or move it to another device.
