Questions
How is the fuel use worked out?
The "full to full" way that is used by mechanics and car magazines. Fill the tank to full and log it. Next time you fill to full, the distance since then divided by all the fuel you put in is your fuel use. For example 480 km on 40 litres is 12.0 km/L, the same as 8.3 L/100 km. Your first full tank is the starting point, so the first result shows on the second full tank.
I only put in some fuel. What do I do?
Untick Filled the tank to full. That fuel is added to the next full tank, so the result for that tank is still right.
I forgot to log a fill-up. Is my fuel use now wrong?
Tick I forgot to log a fill-up before this one (under "+ Missed a fill-up, or add a note"). That one tank is skipped instead of showing a wrong number, and the next full tank counts again.
I only know what I paid, like Rs 5,000. Is that enough?
Type the Total paid and the Price per litre, and the fuel is worked out for you (5,000 at 280 is 17.857 litres). Any two of fuel, price and total are enough.
What is in "All costs per km"?
Every fuel fill-up after your first one plus all your other costs (service, tyres, insurance and so on), divided by the distance you have logged. It is what each km or mile really costs you. Fuel cost per km counts only fuel.
Can I use miles, gallons or mpg?
Yes. Tap Car settings to choose kilometres or miles, litres or US or UK gallons, and to show fuel use as km/L, L/100 km, mpg (US or UK) or miles per litre. Each car has its own settings, and changing them never changes what you logged.
Is it private? Does it work offline?
Your fill-ups stay in this browser on this device: no account, and your data is never sent anywhere. Once loaded, the app works with no connection. Save a backup file now and then, or before changing phones.
