How it works
- Add each piece: whose it is, what it is, the karat and the weight in tola, tola-masha-ratti or grams.
- Type today's gold rate from your jeweller or the market, for 24k gold per tola, per 10 grams or per gram.
- See each person's gold and the whole family's: how many tola, how much is pure gold and what it is worth today.
- When a piece is sold or given to someone, mark it. It moves to the history, so nothing is forgotten.

How is a 22k piece valued?
Gold rates are given for 24k (pure) gold. A 22k piece is 22 parts gold out of 24, so 2.5 tola of 22k at 3,50,000 per tola is 2.5 × 22/24 × 3,50,000 = 8,02,083. If your jeweller gives a separate 22k, 21k or 18k rate, tap + My jeweller gives separate 22k, 21k or 18k rates and type it: that rate is then used as it is.
How many grams is a tola? What are masha and ratti?
One tola is 11.6638 grams. A tola has 12 masha and a masha has 8 ratti, so one tola is 96 ratti. Pick Tola, masha and ratti under Weighed in to type a weight such as 2 tola 6 masha 4 ratti, the way many jewellers write it.
Will I get this much if I sell?
No, the value is the gold at today's rate. A shop buying jewellery usually takes off some weight or a percentage for wastage and testing, and does not pay for stones or making charges. Ask two or three shops before selling.
A set is shared between two people
Add each part on its own: the necklace for one person and the earrings for the other. If a piece is given to someone in the family later, tap Given and pick their name: it moves to their box and the piece keeps a line saying who gave it and when.
Can it work out zakat?
It shows each person's gold and silver weight, the pure gold in it and today's value, which is where a zakat calculation starts. Rules differ, for example on jewellery that is worn and on the nisab, so please ask a scholar you trust for the amount.
Is it private? Does it work offline?
Everything, including photos, stays in this browser on this device: no account, and your data is never sent anywhere. Once loaded, the app works with no connection. Save a backup file now and then, or before changing phones.
