Home Inventory for Insurance and Moving
Everything you own, room by room, with what it would cost to replace, its serial number, receipt and photos. Ready for an insurance claim, a policy renewal or a move.
This browser is not letting the app save. What you type will be lost when you close the page. Save a backup file before you leave.
Add an item
One thing at a time, or several of the same: 6 dining chairs is one item with How many 6.
What it would cost to buy again new today. Not sure? Leave it empty and add it later.
Photos stay on this device only.
Your insurance cover (optional)
Both are on your home contents policy. The app then tells you if the cover is enough and which items to name to your insurer.
Leave a box empty if your policy does not say.
Backup and settings
Keep a backup file somewhere other than your home, such as your email or cloud drive: if the phone is stolen or the house burns, the list is still there.
How it works
- Go room by room and add each thing worth listing: furniture, TV, laptop, jewellery, bikes, clothes as one item.
- Type what it would cost to buy new today. Add the serial number, receipt and a photo for the valuable things.
- See each room's total and the whole home's, and, if you add your policy, whether your contents cover is enough.
- After a burglary, fire or flood, mark things Lost, stolen or damaged and send the claim list to your insurer.

Questions
What value should I type?
What it would cost to buy the same thing, or the nearest model, new today. Most home contents policies pay that ("new for old"), so your contents cover should be at least the whole home's total. For clothes, books or kitchen things, one item per room with a rough value is fine, such as "Clothes, 40,000".
What is the single item limit?
Many policies pay at most a set amount for any one thing, often 1,000 to 2,000, unless it is named on the policy. Type it under Your insurance cover and the app lists every item worth more than that, so you can ask your insurer to add them.
Something was stolen. What do I do?
Tap Gone on each item, pick Lost, stolen or damaged and the date. They move to the Claim list with their value, serial number, date bought and receipt. Copy, Email or Print it for the police report and your insurer. When the insurer pays and you replace something, add the new one as a new item.
Does it help with moving house?
Yes. Each room has Copy the checklist: a list with a box to tick for every item, to check off when you pack and again when you unpack. The whole list shows the removal company or its insurance what is being moved and what it is worth. Use Move on an item to put it in its room in the new home.
Is it private? Does it work offline?
Everything, including photos, stays in this browser on this device: no account, and your data is never sent anywhere. Once loaded, the app works with no connection. Save a backup file and keep it away from home (email it to yourself), so the list survives if the phone is lost too.
