Questions

Why does each result keep its own normal range?

Labs use different machines, so their normal ranges differ a little, and some print mg/dL while others print mmol/L. Each result keeps the range printed next to it on its own report, and is marked Above the range, Below the range or In the range by that range. The range is filled in from the last report (or a typical adult range) and you can change it with Change range on that row.

How do I type "<5" or a range like "70-99"?

Type results as printed: 6.4, 6,4, <5 or >90. Ranges can be 70-99, 4.0 to 5.6, <200 (under 200), >40 (over 40) or >=60 (60 or more). In a range like 70-99 both 70 and 99 count as normal; with <200 a result of 200 counts as above the range.

Can I mix mg/dL and mmol/L?

Yes, for tests chosen from the list. Pick the unit on each row to match the report. The test's box shows every result in one unit (change it with Edit test), so the change and the chart compare like with like. Conversions used: cholesterol 1 mmol/L = 38.67 mg/dL, triglycerides 88.57, glucose 18, HbA1c % = mmol/mol ÷ 10.929 + 2.15, vitamin D 1 ng/mL = 2.496 nmol/L, creatinine 1 mg/dL = 88.4 µmol/L.

Where do the typical ranges come from?

They are common adult ranges printed by many labs (for example HbA1c 4.0-5.6 %, fasting blood sugar 70-99 mg/dL, total cholesterol under 200 mg/dL, vitamin D 30-100 ng/mL, TSH 0.4-4.0 mIU/L). Your lab's range, your age, sex, pregnancy and medicines can change what is normal for you, so type the range on your own report and ask your doctor what your results mean.

Can I keep results for my family too?

Yes. Tap + Add another person in Person and settings. Each person has their own tests and results. Tap a name at the top to switch.

Is it private? Does it work offline?

The results stay in this browser on this device: no account, and your data is never sent anywhere. Once loaded, the app works with no connection. Save a backup file now and then, or before changing phones.

Is this medical advice?

No. It is a record to help you and your doctor see your results over time. A result outside the range is not always a problem, and a result inside it is not always fine for you. Ask your doctor.
