Your work pattern
Your leave year starts on
Most employers use 1 January. Some use 1 April, 1 July, or the day you joined.
Your working days
Leave is only taken off for these days.
In the leave year you joined, you get only the part of the allowance for the rest of that year.
Public holidays
A public holiday inside your leave is not taken off your balance.

Questions
Are weekends and public holidays taken off my leave?
No. Only your working days count. A week off from Monday 2 to Friday 6 February with a public holiday on Thursday takes 4 days. If your employer counts a day differently, for example a Saturday shift, use + Count a different number of days.
What does "left" mean?
Your allowance, plus days carried over and HR corrections, minus the leave you have taken and the leave you have booked. So "6.5 days left" means you can still book 6.5 days in this leave year. Leave before or on today counts as taken, leave after today as booked.
Will I lose days at the end of the year?
Set what happens to unused days for each leave type: they are lost, up to a number of days carries over, or all carry over. The app then says, for example, Book 1.5 days more by 31 Dec 2026 or lose them. If carried-over days must be used within a few months, it also warns you before they expire.
I joined part-way through the year. How much do I get?
With leave given at the start of the year: the yearly allowance times the days left in the leave year after you joined, divided by the days in the year, rounded to the nearest half day. Joining on 1 August with 20 days a year: 20 x 153/365 = 8.38, so 8.5 days. With leave built up each month: 1/12 of the allowance at the end of each month, and the month you joined counts if you joined by its 15th day. If HR worked it out differently, add a Correction from HR.
My leave goes over the end of the leave year.
Each day is counted in the leave year it falls in. Leave from 21 December to 1 January takes 8 days from this year and 1 day from next year. Use the arrows next to the leave year to see next year.
Is it private? Does it work offline?
Your leave stays in this browser on this device: no account, and your data is never sent anywhere. Use Save a backup file to move it to a new phone. Once loaded, the app works with no connection. Your HR system has the final word on your balance; use this to plan and to check it.
