Questions

How does it work out what someone owes?

Money you lent and money you paid back to them count for you; money they paid back and money you borrowed count the other way. The difference is the balance, for example lent 5,000, paid back 1,500: Bilal owes you 3,500. If you lent and borrowed with the same person, only the difference is shown.

They paid back more than they owed. What happens?

The box turns round and says you now owe them the extra, for example You owe Bilal 500. Before you save, the line above the Save button shows what the balance will be.

What is the pay-back-by date?

An optional date the money should come back. The person's box shows the days left or how many days late it is, and it is used in the reminder message. Once the money is all paid back the date no longer shows.

How do I send a reminder?

Tap Reminder message in the person's box. A polite message with the amount and dates is written for you; change it if you like, then tap Copy, Share (WhatsApp, SMS and other apps on phones) or Email.

Can I use different currencies?

Yes. Choose the currency symbol for the app, and give a person their own currency with Change name or currency. Totals in different currencies are shown side by side and never added together.

Is it private? Does it work offline?

Names and amounts stay in this browser on this device: no account, and your data is never sent anywhere. Once loaded, the app works with no connection. Save a backup file now and then, or before changing phones.
