Questions
How does it show what helps?
For each tag, the app takes your average mood on the days you ticked it and on the days you did not. "Exercise: 4.2 on 5 days with, 2.9 on 8 days without" means your exercise days were better on average. It shows what tends to go together, not what causes what, and with fewer than 3 days on either side the app says the difference may be chance.
What if I miss a day or want to change one?
Missed days stay blank; the app never guesses them. Tap the day in the calendar, or ← Day before, to fill it in later. Saving a day that already has an entry replaces it, and the message says so with Undo.
Which night is "sleep the night before"?
The sleep that ended on the morning of that day: for Tuesday, the night from Monday into Tuesday. If you work nights, type the main sleep you had before that day. With Work it out from bedtime and wake-up time, a wake-up time earlier than bedtime counts as the next morning, so 23:30 to 07:00 is 7 h 30 min.
How is the average worked out?
Moods are 1 (Very low) to 5 (Very good). They are added up and divided by the number of days, then rounded to one decimal (0.5 rounds up). Sleep is averaged over the days where you typed it and shown in hours and minutes. Short nights are under 6 hours, long nights 7 hours or more.
Is it private?
Yes. The journal stays in this browser on this device: no account, and your data is never sent anywhere. Anyone who can open this browser can read it, so use your own device. Save a backup file now and then, or before changing phones. Sharing leaves your notes out unless you tick Include my notes.
I am having a really hard time. What should I do?
If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line now, or tell someone you trust. Talking to a doctor helps too. You can type a help line or a person to call in Settings and privacy; it is shown on hard days.
Is this medical advice?
No. It is a private journal to help you notice patterns and talk to your doctor or therapist.
