Photo Size Reducer for Online Forms
Make a photo smaller than the size a form allows, like 50 KB or 200 KB. It all happens on your device: your photo is never uploaded.
Choose your photos
JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC. Up to 12 photos at a time. You can also paste a screenshot with Ctrl+V.
How it works
- Choose the photo the form asks for.
- Set Must be under to the size the form allows.
- Check the new size and tap Download, then upload that file to the form.
Your smaller photos
Your smaller photos appear here, each with its own size limit and a Download button. Photos are not kept after you close the page; your size limit is remembered.
Questions
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The photo is made smaller inside your browser, on your device. Your data is never sent anywhere, so it is safe for ID cards and documents. Once the page has loaded it works offline too.
The form says “between 20 KB and 50 KB”. What do I do?
Set Must be under to 50 KB, tap + More size rules and type 20 in At least. The photo ends up between the two. If the photo is too small on its own, the file is padded with empty space that does not change the picture.
The form also asks for exact pixels, like 600 × 600.
Tap + More size rules and pick the size under Exact width and height, or choose Other size and type it. If the photo has a different shape, Crop the edges fills the size and cuts a little off the sides, and Add white bars keeps the whole photo. Check the preview before you download.
Does 1 KB mean 1000 or 1024 bytes?
Websites count it differently, so the app makes your photo pass both ways: under 100 KB means at most 100,000 bytes, and at least 20 KB means at least 20,480 bytes. Sizes shown in the app are counted the way Windows counts them (1 KB = 1024 bytes).
Why is the new photo a JPG?
Almost every form accepts JPG, and it is the format that gets a photo smallest while it still looks sharp. A see-through background (from a PNG) becomes white.
My photo is HEIC and it does not open.
HEIC is the iPhone photo format. Safari on iPhone and Mac opens it; most other browsers cannot yet. Open this page in Safari, or on the iPhone set Settings > Camera > Formats > Most Compatible so new photos are saved as JPG.
It says it cannot get the photo that small.
Below a certain size a photo can no longer be recognised, so the app stops and tells you the smallest it could make. Check the limit you typed (50 KB, not 5 KB?) or choose a bigger one.
