Prepaid Mobile Data Bundle Tracker

Type the data left on your bundle and see how much you can use a day until it expires, and the day you will run out at your pace.

Add a data bundle

Add the bundle you are using now. Each SIM or bundle gets its own box; when you buy the next one, log it in the same box.

Backup and settings

How it works

  1. Add your bundle: how much data it has, the price if you like, when you bought it and when it expires.
  2. Check your balance now and then (your operator's balance code, app or text message) and type the data left.
  3. See the answer: "7.4 GB left, 9 days to go: you can use 771 MB a day", and the day you will run out if you keep using it at your pace.
  4. Log each new bundle in the same box to compare the cost per GB and see what data costs you each month.

Questions

How does it work out how much I can use a day?

It divides the data left by the time left until the bundle expires. For example 7.4 GB left with 9 days 20 hours to go is about 771 MB a day. Use less than that each day and the data lasts until it expires.

How does it know when I will run out?

It takes the data you used from the time you bought the bundle to your last balance check. For example 30 GB bought on 1 Oct at 10:00 with 7.4 GB left on 21 Oct at 14:00 is 22.6 GB in 20 days 4 hours, 1.12 GB a day. At that pace the 7.4 GB lasts about 6.6 more days, so it runs out around 28 Oct, 3 days before it expires on 31 Oct. Check your balance more often and the date gets closer.

My operator shows MB, not GB

Pick MB next to the box, or type the unit, such as 750 MB. The app counts 1 GB = 1024 MB, as mobile operators do in their balance messages.

My bundle has day and night data, or social media data

Track the main data, the one you run out of. If you want to watch the night or social data too, add it as its own bundle with its own box.

I bought extra data, or renewed early

Use + Add extra data in the bundle's box for a top-up that shares the same expiry. If you bought a new bundle before the old one expired, tap Bought a new bundle: the old one ends then, and if your operator carries the unused data over, tick Add the data left from the old bundle.

Weekly or monthly: which bundle is cheaper?

Every bundle you log shows its cost per GB, and past bundles also show the cost per GB you really used. Data that expires unused makes a cheap bundle dear, so the second number is the fairer one.

Is it private? Does it work offline?

Everything stays in this browser on this device: no account, and your data is never sent anywhere. The app does not read your phone's data use; you type the balance your operator shows. Once loaded, it works with no connection. Save a backup file before changing phones.
