Questions
How does it work out who owes whom?
For each person it adds up what they paid and takes away their share of every cost they are ticked for. More than 0 means the others owe them money ("gets back"), less than 0 means they owe. To settle up lists the fewest payments that bring everyone to 0.
The big room pays more rent. How do I split that?
Choose By shares and give the big room 2 shares and the others 1 (or 1.5, and so on). Rent of 60,000 between shares 2, 1, 1 and 1 is 24,000 for the big room and 12,000 for each of the others. Or choose Exact amounts and type each person's part.
Someone was away, or does not eat what was bought.
Untick them under Who shares it? for that expense. They pay nothing for it.
Someone joined or left the flat.
Add a new person at any time; they are only in the costs you tick them for. When someone leaves, tap Moved out on their box: past costs stay as they were, and they are left unticked on new ones. Their balance stays until it is paid.
We settled up. Do I delete everything?
No. Tap Mark as paid on each payment (or Mark all as paid) once the money has changed hands. Everyone goes back to 0 and the history stays for later months.
A shop gave us a refund.
Tap Edit on that expense and lower the amount by the refund (if it went back to the person who paid), then Save changes. Everyone's share and the balances are worked out again.
