Questions
How is the money worked out?
Each piece of time is rounded the client's way (exact minutes, or up to the next 6, 15 or 30 minutes). The time for each kind of work is added up and multiplied by the client's hourly rate, to the cent. 3 h 45 min at 40.00 an hour is 150.00.
What does "Mark as billed" do?
It marks that client's time in the chosen dates as billed, so it is not billed twice. "Not billed yet" then leaves it out. Billed time keeps the rate and rounding it was billed with, even if you change them later. Use "Undo" straight away, or "Edit" on an entry and untick "Already billed".
I raised my rate. What happens to old hours?
When you change a client's rate, "Also use the new rate for time not billed yet" decides whether hours you have not billed change too. Billed hours never change.
I forgot to stop the timer. What now?
Tap I forgot to stop, choose when you really stopped, and tap Save with this stop time. After 8 hours the app asks by itself. Time past midnight belongs to the day you started.
Can I start a timer for another client?
Choose the other client and tap Stop and switch. The first timer is saved and the new one starts, so you never run two at once.
Is it private? Does it work offline?
Your clients, rates and hours stay in this browser on this device: no account, and your data is never sent anywhere. Use Save a backup file to move them to a new phone or computer. Once loaded, the app works with no connection, and the timer keeps counting even when the page is closed.
