Questions
How do I find out how much to give back?
When a family invites you, type their name in Find a family (or in the form). Their box says what they gave you and at which event, what you gave them, and the difference, for example They have given you 2,000 more than you gave them. How much to give is your choice; the app only keeps the record.
Two families have the same name. What do I do?
Tap + Add relation and city (optional) and type the city, such as Ahmed Khan (Lahore) and Ahmed Khan (Karachi). Each gets its own box, and the suggestions show the city so you pick the right one.
Someone gave gold or clothes, not cash.
Tap + Add a gift in kind: gold, clothes (optional), type what it was and leave the cash amount empty (or fill in both). Gifts in kind are listed with the family but not added to the cash totals.
How do I enter 100 envelopes quickly?
Choose They gave us, type the event once and set its date with Change date. After each Save, the event and date stay filled in and the cursor goes back to the name, so you type a name, an amount and press Enter for each envelope.
What is the guest list for?
Planning food and seats. Add each family with the number of people, then mark Coming or Not coming as they reply. The top shows how many people to plan for. Families who gave a gift at that event are marked.
Is it private? Does it work offline?
Names and amounts stay in this browser on this device: no account, and your data is never sent anywhere. Once loaded, the app works with no connection. Save a backup file now and then, and before changing phones.
