Questions

How is the goal date worked out?

The app draws the best straight line through your daily weights of the last 4 weeks (least squares). That line's slope is your pace per week. It then counts how many days that pace needs to take your 7-day average to your goal weight. You need at least 3 weigh-ins spread over a week or more in the last 4 weeks. If your weight is not moving towards your goal, the app says so instead of guessing a date.

Why does my weight jump up and down every day?

Water, salt, a late meal, a hard workout or a period can move your weight by 1 to 2 kg (2 to 4 lb) from one day to the next. That is not fat. The 7-day average is the average of the days you weighed in the last 7 days, so one high or low morning hardly moves it. Watch the average and the pace, not a single day.

What does "This week" compare?

Your 7-day average now against your 7-day average of the 7 days before that. It needs at least one weigh-in in each of the two weeks.

How often should I weigh myself?

Daily or a few times a week, at the same time and in the same way, for example after the toilet and before breakfast. More weigh-ins make the average and the goal date steadier. Weighing twice on one day is fine: both are kept and that day counts as their average.

What pace is healthy?

Most health services suggest losing about 0.5 to 1 kg (1 to 2 lb) a week. The app shows a note if you lose more than 1% of your weight a week. Talk to your doctor if that is not planned.

What does BMI mean here?

BMI is weight in kg divided by height in metres squared. The adult ranges are: under 18.5 underweight, 18.5 to 24.9 healthy, 25 to 29.9 overweight, 30 or more obese. BMI ranges do not fit children and teenagers, pregnancy or very muscular people; tick Do not show BMI ranges to hide them.

Can two people use it on one phone?

Yes. Tap + Add another person in Person and backup. Each person has their own weights, unit, goal and height. Tap a name at the top to switch.

Is it private? Does it work offline?

Your weights stay in this browser on this device: no account, and your data is never sent anywhere. Once loaded, the app works with no connection and can be added to your home screen. Save a backup file now and then, or before changing phones.

Is this medical advice?

No. It is a log and a calculator. Follow your doctor's advice, especially during pregnancy, illness or for children.
